Why I chose San Juan,Puerto Rico?
I chose San Juan, Puerto Rico, because it is a beautiful country and I always wanted to visit it. Also I have family memebers that live in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There are many historical sites in Puerto Rico and the beaches are beautiful. This is the place to go if you love to see baseball games!

We will be staying at the Normandie Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Sunday November 19th

Today I will be leaving to San Juan, Puerto Rico with my brother Jose and we will be departing at 7:55 am on the American Airlines at Ohare Airport. We will be arriving at San Juan Airport at 2:25 pm. After we arrived at San Juan , Puerto Rico Airport and we went to the Normandie Hotel right away and got some sleep. We woke up at 9:00pm and we went to go see a movie at El Coraches . The movie ended at about 11:30 and we called our rental car to pick us up and drive us to get some food. We got some hot dogs for really cheap and a couple of sodas. After that we went back to the hotel.

Monday November 20th

Today Jose and I woke up at about 11:00 am and got some breakfast in the hotel. They had a specialty breakfast for all the tourist and it was called "el desayuno de campeones", which means the breakfast of champions. At about 1:30 in the afternoon we went to the beach to get a good tan. It was beautiful, there were tons of fish everywhere and the water was so clear you could see to the bottom. Eventually the rental car came and picked us up and we headed back to the hotel. By this time it was about 10:00pm at night.

Tuesday November 21st

I decided for the both of us that we would go to the mall today and do a little shopping. The mall took about thirty mintues to get to and at this time it was 12:00 in the afternoon. We both knew that it would be freezing in there since it was about 96 degrees outside that day. After we got there we ran into a couple of people that were from Chicago! It was a great day and we got some nice clothes out of it too!

Wednesday November 22nd

We planed it out that were going to "El Morro" today and that is where Puerto Rico had all their battles at a long time ago. When we arrived there it was like nothing that we have ever saw. Our jaws hit the floor when we seen the big battle tanks, cannons, and swords that the soldiers used to use.

Thursday November 23rd

There was a baseball game going on today at about 2:00pm and it was the two best teams in Puerto Rico playing against each other. It was "El Barca vs. Los Rechones", the game went down with a bang. "El Barca won 10 to 8. What a game.

Friday November 24th

We just got word that our cousins in Puerto Rico are having a family barbaque and we are invited to come. It starts around 5pm, but before then we played some basketball at the local YMCA. Eventually we went to the barbaque and it was amazing. There was so much food for everyone and it was a great celebration.

Saturday November 25th

We went up into the mountains today. There wasn't really anything spectacular about it, but the scenery was fantastic.




Sunday November 26th

Our rental car today is going to take us to the Museum so we can see all the works of art in Puerto Rico.

Monday November 27th

Today we are going to the theatre, we are going to are going to see a musical at 8pm. This musical will be about a man that had a divorce and is thinking critically about what life really means to himself. Also it is in spanish.

Tuesday November 28th

Our rental car will be taki ng us to our Uncle Pop's house and he is going to make us some pasteles, and platanos. Platanos are basically fried bananas, but they are cooked to a certain degree and seasoned so that they have a certain flavor when they are done coooking.

Wednesday November 29th

Since it is so nice outside Jose and I will be going to Ocean Park, San Juan to go swimming at the beach. I know we been to the beach before, but it is so beautiful there. After a day of swimming we will be going to a restaurant called Al Dente.

Thursday November 30th

This is the last day of november, so we thought we would end it by going down to the local community park and watching fireworks at night. The fireworks are very beautiful. The name of the park is Parque de Municipo de San Juan.

Friday December 1st

Ok so it's Friday you know what that means. WERE GOING TO THE CLUB!! At about 9:30 at night were headed to Zabo's Bar and Club. It is located

Saturday December 2nd

Since we had a long night of dancing we just stayed in, plus today we leave back to Chicago. This trip was a beauty. If I had some more money I would leave to go to Puerto Rico in a heartbeat. Boricua!
